So, I recently attended this conference thing at the Mises Institute in Auburn, Alabama. If you haven't heard of it, most of you will probably find it interesting. There are a ton of digital books and media that you can access for free at mises.org.
Anyways, I just wanted to pass on the word on this. I think it is safe to say Mises and the Austrian economists laid the foundation for much of Ron Paul's economic and monetary views. He was involved in their original Gold Standard Conference in DC back in like '84. I met Dr. Paul. It was all quite surreal, but it was one hell of an experience.
All of the speeches from this event are online in the media section at mises.org. I highly recommend listening to Andrew Napolitano's speech. Considering he is the chief legal consultant for FOX News, I think you'll find it very, very interesting. He doesn't really talk about monetary issues much, but he does talk about FISA and the Patriot Act quite a bit.
Ry, I imagine you are aware of Thomas Dilorenzo, but if not, check him out. You will probably appreciate his work. His speech was also excellent. I think Thomas Woods is the big historian at Mises. And Rockwell's speech was also excellent. They all were.
Check it out!

The Gold Standard Revisited at Mises Institute

"The conscious and intelligent manipulation of the organized habits and
opinions of the masses is an important element in democratic society. Those
who manipulate this unseen mechanism of society constitute an invisible
government which is the true ruling power of our country." Edward Bernays
