Name one action Ron Paul has taken against Bush/Cheney
Sorry if this annoys some of you here but can you name one? I just don't understand the rp lovefest here and on the web, seriously what the fuck has this guy ever done other than not vote for shit. Talk bad about the fed and promote some mysterious "free market" bs.
Re: Name one action Ron Paul has taken against Bush/Cheney
Well the things that are for shit don't get passed. But he's been against basically everything Bush has tried to do. And everything Paul is for the rest of the congress is against. We need more people like him in there so that good laws can be passed.
He did help block the first bail out.
He introduces a bill every year to audit the federal reserve.
He's voted for numerous tax cuts. Some of those did pass.
He's the one to go to Bernake and Greenspan before that and grill them on CSPAN and explain to the nation what is realy going on in finance.
He helped block the first attempts for a national ID.
Paul is not in a position to be making laws. The imperial senate would never pas them.
His voting record pretty much supports the constitution and does not support imperialism.
And the real anti-war movement has rallied around him.

Then why does he not promote the one device that could IMPRISON Bush/Cheny Co., End the Illegal FED and income tax, cut the military budget, end evil imperial wars, bypass the imperial senate etc... and is there as fake anti-war movement? The list of things i could mention that RP has NOT put his support behind is overwhelming.

Re: Name one action Ron Paul has taken against Bush/Cheney
Are you crazy. Paul does support ending the Fed. He got that movement going. He's been trying to get rid of the FEd since the 1980s. He is the only guy in the congress to introduce a bill to end the Fed. He is the only guy that wants to get rid of the income tax, and he campaigned on that. Not only that but ending the wars all of which he voted against, as well as military aid to Israel etc. Then why does he not promote the one device that could IMPRISON Bush/Cheny Co., End the Illegal FED and income tax, cut the military budget, end evil imperial wars, bypass the imperial senate etc... and is there as fake anti-war movement? Not supporting stupid shit is a good thing.
Paul voted
NO on the patriot Act
NO on the Iraq War
NO on sanction for Iran
NO on military commissions act
NO on the bail out every single time
NO on aid to Israel
NO on foreign aid to anyone actually
NO on the NAU
NO on the national ID
NO on exspanding NATO
NO on NAFTA
NO on CAFTA
NO on financing the Iraq war (every time including the first gulf war)
NO on new taxes
He wants no income tax, no trillion dollar empire, no department of homeland security, no CIA, no IRS, no Federal Reserve and no foreign intervention.
There is no one else like that.

So you followed this statement with an overwhelming list of zero things.LawPoweredCitizen wrote:The list of things i could mention that RP has NOT put his support behind is overwhelming.

Actually one would not have to own the air to get on a company for polluting. Air and water are mobile so even if someone pollutes their own land it still infringes on others rights thus the polluter has no right to do it and can get sued, thrown in jail etc for damaging other people's property. However if someone wants to have the messiest house in the world, more power to them as long as it remains contained in their house.
I don't mind capitalism when it's done as fair exchanges in the libertarian way. My problem is with monopolies (that's why we have anti-trust laws) government subsidies, government bail outs, government contracts etc all the way corporations get paid by governments. Also off shore slavery, the currency advantage slavery (a symptom of the central banking problem and the IMF...) and any other form of exploited labor. (like immigrant under the table labor) War based business, and so on.
As far as the Border goes I agree with Thunk. But Paul is a congressman from Texas, where apparently it's more of an issue than where I live. I know this, getting into the US is not easy and it's very expensive to do the legal way. It took us like a year to get a permanent resident Visa for Yuki from Japan and about 800 dollars.
Legal immigration needs to made easier. And illegal immigration needs to be made harder and with actual punishments. But as you know since I have said it like 500 times. What really needs to happen is we have to strike the root of that problem NAFTA and the whole IMF system.
But back to topic for some idiot to ask for one thing Paul has done against Bush is like asking for one time Spiderman shot a web.
