Dozens of names left off official list of British soldiers killed in Iraq.
A mother speaks out as a new study reveals more than 30 soldiers killed in Afghanistan and Iraq were missing from official lists of war dead.
Given that only a few hundred died this is upwards of a 15% curve on unreported deaths.
Details of her latest research for the Medical Research Council's statistical unit arrive in the wake of a grim week for the British army during which the death toll in Afghanistan reached 102 with five paratroopers killed. The latest two casualties, Lance Corporal James Bateman, 29, and Private Sean Doherty, 20, were shot dead last Thursday while patrolling in Helmand province. In Iraq a further 176 UK troops have died since the start of operations in 2003.
278 total dead and about 30 at least are missing from the list making a large % unaccounted for and these are people. They account for their equiptment better than that. Of course equiptment cost money and dead soldier is a gain in money (via funeral cost and stop of pay and no veterns benifits)

278 people over 5 years and they can't keep a list straight for even that? It's has to be on purpose.
