And check out the comments sections. Who are these people who write these long comments giving detailed if spurious arguments against the Assad regime and in favor of US intervention?

We all know neocons desperately want Assad ousted, but from the looks of the NYT comments section, it would seem many many people agree with them. Is this something akin to Hasbara central posting pro Israel comments to any article remotely critical of Israel? Are the neocons really this organized? The passion some of these people display is something else.

In my responses to these comments I try to push back by asking what Obama would do if any rebel group tried to violently overthrow his regime. And I also reference what Lincoln did to the South when it tried to secede. Hell, the CSA wasn't even trying to overthrow Lincoln's regime. It just wanted its own nation. The Syrian rebels want all of Syria and want to impose Sharia law on each person there.

Next step in Syria may be a Turkish/Saudi intervention in Syria. With air cover from the USAF.

It will be a very dangerous situation. It will only take one Russian missile up the tailpipe of an F 16 and WW III could kick off.

America wants to bail out the jihadi mercenaries and may risk war to do it. Consortiumnews is also predicting we may be on the road to WW III.
