Ban Israeli officials from Native Reservations

I wrote this to Ward Churchill and other Native leaders. Please sign it in support from wherever you live.

I am working on getting American/Canadian Indian nations to ban Israel's Prime Minister Ehud Olmert form ever entering their sovereign states. It is not like he ever would anyway, but it is a symbolic message to the world and shows support to Palestinians who seem to be the newest victims of manifest destiny.

I run the site Anti-Neocons.com and live in Japan. Many countries have banned the former minister Sharon from entering their state. He is in a coma now and going nowhere. I would like to apply the same principles to Ehud Olmert for his crimes against humanity. I believe it would serve both the Palestinians and Native people well to link their sufferings together and no Zionist could compare their holocaust weapon to the tragic history of Native people.

It would put a spotlight on these wounds and show the relevance today of learning about the state's methods of genocide and apartheid, and how it gets mixed up with "religion" to justify its practices. A monster can easily go about its way so long as it is wrapped up in the cross or the flag discrediting both in doing so and shamelessly denying any wrong.

The list of crimes against Palestine and Lebanon are too great to list. There was the use of cluster bombs, the use of DU, the targeting of civilians, house demolitions, racially segregated "settlements," the theft of water, torture, destruction of crops and trees, terrorism, kidnappings or officials, color coded license plates on car to separate the chosen from the oppressed, fly zone violations, a number of broken UN resolutions, a giant apartheid wall built inside the West Bank effectively stealing land between the wall and the Green line, and countless abuses by the IDF using human shields, busting holes in homes and shops, vandalism, murder, assassinations, and false flags. And on a few occasions like Jenin they just bombed civilian cities.

If the Native nations start the ban perhaps others will follow but history will record who was the first and it is so fitting. Ward is a leader and a voice that is much greater than my own on that side of the ocean. Please help me in this quest.

Sincerely Ryan Dawson.

This is fascinating Ry.

I've never seen Native American nations on the international political stage.

It will be interesting to see how their message is received.

I believe we can do this. We have to show a large support base because their is no doubt that the US and the BIA will create a backlash. Thouh I dont see what worse things they could really do. Any controversy it creates is good because our biggest problem is exposure. Most people have no idea what is going on.

Yes Ward is a Native.

and by the way Native Nations are not determined by bloodlines. They can accept who ever they want into there state just like any other country.

rumor number two

Native people in America do not get money from the government just for being Indian. In Canada the government helps a great deal yet it retains all the mineral rights in the US Native people get absolutely nothing.

Water on Reservations is Brown.

native Americans are the most impoverished oppressed group in American history. It is getting better, largely thanks to Indian Gaming, but the poverty that a lot of natives who are adults now grew up with is unreal.

The Couer d'Alene reservation where I'm from is rich from their casino now, but this is essentially the first time their economy is doing well and thats in the past 5 years, social services etc are improving. But, overall, the reservation is shitty and desert.

My Grandma worked in social services on the Warm Springs reservation for a long time.

Here, in Western Washington, natives have some nice land and are overall doing well, but they are subjected to horrible racial profiling when they drive (DUI), etc. Some of their reservations are urban (along the I5 super city between Tacoma and Olympia for example), whereas some up the Olympia Peninsula are much more preserved.

What's really sad, is that when Lewis and Clark crossed over the Rocky Mountains, the Nez Perce took care of them, instead of killing them and taking their large stash of guns, which could have potentially given them enough power to hold manifest destiny off for quite a while, or maybe they actually would have succesfully preserved at least some of their land.

I was definately raised with a very pro-native view, since my mom grew up right by a reservation (in central oregon, she actually went to highschool on a res for a while), and a lot of her best friends were native. My Grandma's interest in native culture actually extends to it being a lot of the theme of her house, having given us "Indian Names" as children, and even referring to doing things like burning cedar to make spirits go away. In fact some of the things she has said actually go to the edge of being very strange for a Christian, such as my grandma once telling me that when my moms best friend was living with them her senior year of highschool her ancestors spirits were upset that she wasnt living on the reservation with the tribe....

I dont know where I'm really going with this, but I'll stop.

It would be a good gesture of solidarity.

I do dislike it when people compare the CURRENT situations of Natives and Palestinians, because though they have been treated poorly, I would say by and large the tone of our nation now is to treat them fairly (though, our government is oppressing EVERYONE, and so they are obviously also getting screwed over by the government, but so am I, and since I in no way support anything the government does that damages them or interferes in my life, I personally feel no guilt about their current state). Whereas, the things that Israeli politicians can say freely are insane.

it would seem logical that supporting Israel would be a career ender for a politician, like being blatantly pro the apartheid regime in South Africa...instead you are an anti-semite if you dont support the Israelis committing genocide?

I'm preaching to the choir, but thought you might enjoy the bits of information about natives on this coast etc, I imagine the situation here is a lot different than in the east, I know the amount of land dedicated to reservations is much larger.
