I also didn't like Gravel's vote to make English the official language of the United States. The US is already an English speaking country. We don't need a law to tell us we speak English.

Kucinich was a shinning star. I agreed with him on everything he said.

I did notice the bias of CNN focusing on Hillary and Obama. I wouldn't blame it on Wolf Blitzer. He does ask tough questions and he lets the candidates know when they failed to answer the question. I thought Blitzer was good on letting the public know Obama and Hillary both supported funding the Iraq war with the exception of this last vote in Congress. I'm sure many people were unaware of this.

Bill Richardson sounded like a fake and a racist. He said he thought Alberto Gonzales was guilty simply because he was Latino and he made this decision without hearing the evidence against him.

I also thought it was terrible Richardson and Hillary both refused the idea of sending American troops to end the genocide in Sudan. Implementing a no fly zone is not going to stop the genocide. The Janjaweed are not flying around. The genocide is happening on the ground not in the air.

Hillary wants to act like she and her husband are such great humanitarians but I remember Bill watching the Bosnians get massacred by the Serbs for 10 years before US led NATO forces intervened. Not only that but Bill prevented the Bosnians and Kosovar Albanians from getting weapons to defend themselves by instituting a naval blockade. He might as well have been conspiring with Milosevic.
Im w/you on that. I never really liked him. I have said that forever. He will just take votes away from Paul. The people that would vote for him would be the same group that would vote for Paul. Not sure why we have a section for him.

This is way off topic, but don't believe all that stuff that the Save Darfur group is saying. Read these links:

“. . . Save Darfur has gotten into hot water with aid groups helping the refugees of the conflict.

In February it began a high-profile advertising campaign that included full-page newspaper ads, television spots and billboards calling for more aggressive action in Darfur, including the imposition of a no-flight zone over the region.

Aid groups and even some activists say banning flights could do more harm than good, because it could stop aid flights. Many aid groups fly white airplanes and helicopters that may look similar to those used by the Sudanese government, putting their workers at risk in a no-flight zone.

Sam Worthington, the president and chief executive of InterAction, a coalition of aid groups, complained to Mr. Rubenstein by e-mail that Save Darfur’s advertising was confusing the public and damaging the relief effort.

‘I am deeply concerned by the inability of Save Darfur to be informed by the realities on the ground and to understand the consequences of your proposed actions,’ Mr. Worthington wrote.

He noted that contrary to assertions in its initial ads, Save Darfur did not represent any of the organizations working in Darfur, and he accused it of ‘misstating facts.’ He said its endorsement of plans that included a no-flight zone and the use of multilateral forces ‘could easily result in the deaths of hundreds of thousands of individuals.’

Another aid group, Action Against Hunger, said in a statement last week that a forced intervention by United Nations troops without the approval of the Sudanese government ‘could have disastrous consequences that risk triggering a further escalation of violence while jeopardizing the provision of vital humanitarian assistance to millions of people.’

Aid groups also complain that Save Darfur, whose budget last year was $15 million, does not spend that money on aid for the long-suffering citizens of the region.”

The reason we have a Gravel section is because in some state you can only vote in theprimaries of your own party. If they are a Democrat they can vote for Gravel or not vote.

Now in my state you can vote either way and I hope everyone votes for Paul.

Instead of telling me to read articles you didn't write why don't you just explain your point of view.
Sorry, I was just being lazy. Basically, you shouldn't trust the Save Darfur Coalition because:
1. It has raised more than $15 million. Almost none of that money has gone to help aid groups in Sudan, most of it has just gone to advertising. (i.e. televised and printed propaganda)
2. Many of the same people who supported War in Iraq are the same people supporting the coalition. It started mostly as an american jewish coalition and has support from groups like the ADL.
3. The S.D. Coalition supports a no-fly zone and wants an intervention (while hinting at regime change), but groups that are actually in Sudan such as Action Against Hunger strongly oppose a no-fly zone because that would prevent a lot of aid from flying in and they oppose intervention without the approval of the gov't because that would cause very much chaos.
4. Save Darfur tries to blame it all on the gov't for starting and funding the Janjaweed, but it was the Sudanese Liberation Army (SLA) that actually started the crisis and they also started fighting after the gov't signed a peace deal with many opposing groups.
5. Save Darfur ignores the crisis in Congo, which is considered to be worse than the one in Darfur and also ignores the situations in Somalia and Zimbabwe which are also really bad. There is no mention on the fact that millions of Africans die from not having clean drinking water.
6. Before there was a genocide, it was discovered that Sudan had large quantities of oil.
7. Sudan's president says that there is a Zionist conspiracy to get him out of power.

I think people focus too much on the Darfur conflict and not enough on the Congo.

Millions of people have died in the Congo over the past few years!

Add Sudan & Iraq together and it's still not comparable.
