You can also try using alternative forms of money. Gold, silver, liberty dollars (silver), etc. Everyone won't accept that right away but as the Fed thins out the dollar the relative value of other forms of exchange will go up and then it's just a matter of explaining that when you try to buy something. The more alternatives are accepted, the less power the Fed has inside the US.

I've heard that PayPal was originally started by an anarchist for the purpose of subverting the dollar, but some law was passed that prevented it from working so the guy sold the company.
