United Steelworkers international president Leo Gerard has a message to the flea party whiny-whiners still camping out instead of sleeping in their parents' basements -- playtime is over.

Union Chief: 'We Need More Militancy ... Blocking Bridges, Occupying Banks'
http://nation.foxnews.com/occupy-wall-s ... ying-banks" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Just in case the Occupy movement fails -- in other words, when it fails -- Gerard is urging union members to fill that gaping void with "more militancy."

Here's Gerard making a pitch for this on Ed Schultz's radio show Monday and actually making Schultz sound reasonable by comparison.

GERARD: You're damn right Wall Street occupiers speak for us. They do in Pittsburgh, they do in Chicago, they do in Oakland, they do in San Francisco, they do all across the country. And I think what we need is, we need more militancy.

SCHULTZ: What does that mean, more militancy?

GERARD: I think we've got to start a resistance movement. If Wall Street occupation doesn't get the message, I think we've got to start blocking bridges and doing that kind of stuff. This doesn't have to be this way. The economy doesn't have to be this way. It's being put this way because the Wall Streeters are getting their way.

We need to occupy the Federal Reserve. We need organization. We need sensible and smart local leaders.

Or we may have to do this,

Agreed. :clap:

In engineering school they always taught us that to fix any system, you must first understand the "theory of operation" of how the system is designed to work.

Then, you must decide if that system should be . . or can be . . . "fixed" -OR- if it needs to be replaced with another system.

I know many of you have seen Paul W. Grignon's work, "Money As Debt" where he shows the "theory of operation" of a "Money=Debt" based system and why it is flawed.

(link to video - approx. 45 minutes)
"Money As Debt-Full Length Documentary"

In part 2, "Money As Debt II - Promises Unleashed", he continues his thesis to show how Modern Bankers literally spin "nothing" (straw) into Gold like the fairytale character "Rumpelstiltskin" . . . every transaction, or spin of the wheel, creates more money out of thin air. Conversely, he shows how the basic axiom of "Money=Debt" is a flawed and unsustainable model that is mathematically constrained to crash.

In part 3, "Money As Debt III - Evolution Beyond Money", Paul W. Grignon examines possible alternatives to "Money=Debt" that are based around the axiom of "Money=Value".
He gives examples of working models that are being beta-tested around with the world at local levels.

My apologies for the multiple links, but I couldn't find part 3 all in one chunk. . . :shrug:

I would be interested in what this forum has to say about these alternative local exchange currencies and especially if anyone has any experience with them.

Here in North Carolina, USA . . . we have had some success with "The Plenty" in some of the local co-ops and small businesses around Raleigh and Chapel Hill. I'm not aware of
any similar systems in the mountain area where I am currently living, though.

peace.

CPS Seizes Baby From ‘Occupy Dallas’ Site
November 4, 2011
http://dfw.cbslocal.com/2011/11/04/cps- ... llas-site/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

A homeless family living at the ‘Occupy Dallas’ camp said that they will find a new place to stay in order to keep their baby. CBS 11 News was on the scene as officers with the Dallas Police Department and Child Protective Services took custody of the 9-month-old boy on Thursday afternoon.

--

The family’s problems have created another concern for the ‘Occupy Dallas’ organizers. CBS 11 News has learned that the campers are so unhappy with their current conditions that organizers are planning to temporarily move the protest in hopes that local homeless and squatters will leave the movement. “We’ve had a large amount of unsavory elements which have gotten plenty of media coverage,” said protest organizer Reagan Clark. “Just made people feel unsafe.”

[Better call the cops to get rid of those unsavory elements! :lol: :lol: :lol: ]

I’ve been using a credit union for years, and can’t understand why anyone would keep their money at an institution that doesn’t treat them as anything more than something to be squeezed and punished for existing and being part of the average crowd. Find a better solution, and see how you’re treated at learnmore.asmarterchoice.org.

Well its pretty amazing that there is a movement that actually targets the real problem, the central bank and their organized crime underlings in the media, smaller banks, real estate etc.

There is some hope for humanity, even if most of the people in the movement don't understand the Fed. I have a feeling there is some confusion as to what people are protesting, a lot of the "celebrities" sort of give it an undefined "feel good, support the community" stupidity, which just diffuses the real issues.

At least many folks focus on the fact that the banksters ripped everyone off big time and we'll be paying them off with big taxes for a long time.
